#2 Discover Dorset – Yard, Poundbury

Have you ever visited Yard in Poundbury, near Dorchester, Dorset?

It is my favourite ladies fashion store to visit where I live. Filled top to bottom with sheer gorgeousness from women’s clothes, accessories through to gifts. Often enough you will pop in for a gift for a friend or family member & come away with a treat or two for yourself!

Yard has been based in Poundbury for almost 10 years & will be celebrating their anniversary this September. Founder Vicki Fernyhough has a wealth of fashion experience after working for leading high street retailer New Look for 18 years as Design & Buying Director of Brands. They even bagged the prestigious Drapers new business award when they opened.

There is a range of clothes to suit all ages & a range of budgets. They pride themselves on selling clothes that make you feel good, a little bit special & happy – which we could all do with right now.

I caught up with Vicki & daughter Pia mid-week to chat about summer must-haves, especially now we’re all able to get out a bit more.
